a word to our readers:
Harvest time always makes us think of new beginnings because it is really the start of our season, not the end. Olives start to color and beg to be taken from the tree, millers begin pumping fresh extra virgin olive oil, and holiday meals are graced with nuovo olive oil to celebrate the season.
This past month, we also had our own new beginning with the launch of The Olive Oil Source Boutique and want to thank all our new Boutique customers for making it such an early success. But, beginnings and endings are bookends, so it is with sadness that we heard the news of Joseph Sciabica’s passing. Along with many others in our small community, we offer our condolences to the Sciabica family. He was a pioneer in our business and will be sorely missed.
