J. C. Coimbra origins dates back to 1946, the year in which Mr. José Carvalho Coimbra started his olive oil distribution business.
Due to the very positive feedback from his Customers, as well as the need to address the huge increase of orders and quality control demand, started, in early 80’s, to diversify his investments in other key areas, such as: extraction, refinery and new packaging units. Also as a policy of diversification and expansion, partnered with several other olive oil companies placed in strategical locations of Portugal. These resources allowed the group to maintain a strong and direct connection with production, resulting in a competitive and careful product selection.
Our priority, during the last couple of years, has been focused on improving our technological structure, manufacturing and quality control with the sole purpose of producing a competitive product with superior quality, capable of exceeding today’s consumers quality standards! |
