I've been using olive oil as a lotion for my dry skin. I started using it because it was outdated for cooking and didn't want to waste it. My question is this; can I gain weight from regularly using olive oil as a lotion? I've been putting on a few more pounds recently and wondered if this could be the contributor! Yikes! Any comments?
No, you cannot absorb calories through the skin; too bad because this would be a great way for doctors to feed people whose gastrointestinal tract has shut down. You can absorb some water through the skin, which is explains the urge to pee in the pool.
