Most tours in the wine country focus on, well, wines! But there’s another fruit in the Napa/Sonoma valleys that has inspired the passion of farmers, vintners, and local families: the olive. In fact, the boutique olive oil industry is now where the wine industry was in the 1960s-a small cottage industry. There are wonderful old-world olive orchards, historic ranches, and private olive estates with breathtaking views that are options for Great Olive Tours. These are private, appointment-only visits where buses and limousines cannot take you.

Yuba County

The olive groves at Sylverleaf are located in the small town of Loma Rica, California, in the heart of the finest olive growing region in the United States. The soil and weather in this region join together to create the ideal conditions for growing premium olives. The soil is shallow and well-fortified. The weather creates a perfect contrast from the hot and dry summers to the cool and wet winters. This opposition in the weather stresses the trees in a manner that is excellent for all aspects of growth and fruit production. Come enjoy a lunch in our orchard, followed by a tour of our small facility. We specialize in a down-to-earth experience, hosted by the people who farm the olives and make Sylverleaf's world class olive oil.
