The Texas Olive Oil Council, founded in 1994 as a non-profit organization, set a goal to successfully cultivate olives in Texas. The experts said that it couldn't be done, but members of the Texas Olive Oil Council are proving them wrong. Our mission is to gather and disseminate the most current and pertinent information for growing olives and making olive oil in Texas. We also develop and promote standards for the production and labeling of Texas olive oil and to protect, inform, and engender the trust and loyalty of the consumer.

OSAJ.jpg The Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan (OSAJ)

The Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan (OSAJ) is the largest association in JAPAN for Olive and Olive Oil research and marketing. Established in 2009, OSAJ is financially independent from any government, associations, growers, processors and distributors of olive oil, in order to commit only for the quality. OSAJ association members number over 500 and are leaders of marketing olive oil in Japan.

The UC Davis Olive Center promotes collaboration between UC Davis, olive producers and the community. The university’s relationship with the olive industry began a century ago with the development of safe canning methods for California olives. This collaboration has also produced research into new olive cultivars, mechanical harvesting, olive fruit fly control, olive oil processing and sensory evaluation of olive oil. The UC Davis Olive Center brings together North America’s leading authorities on olive oil and table olives.
