The Palestine Fair Trade Association (PFTA) Olive Harvest Festival is held annually in Jenin on the first Friday of November. This festival, or Jaru’a, is a traditional farm celebration of the olive harvest as it is in progress. PFTA gathers farmers, members of PFTA olive producing cooperatives, representatives of their regional cooperatives, European and American fair trade distributors, and international volunteers helping Palestinian farmers in the olive harvest activities.
