AmorOlio: Six days of tastings, hands-on classes, discussions, all aimed at improving knowledge of extra-virgin olive oil, how to choose it and how to use it in the kitchen and at the table.
In a one-of-a-kind cultural immersion, the focus is extra-virgin olive oil: through tastings, cooking classes, traditional dinners, visits to wineries, cheese-makers, markets, and offsite restaurants, you'll explore one of the most widely used, most important, and most misunderstood ingredients in the modern (and ancient) kitchen. Writer, historian, and food authority Nancy Harmon Jenkins leads, with guest chef Michele Forgione in March, and guests Chef Sara Jenkins and Dario Cecchini, the Tuscan butcher, in April.
