The use of talc in the milling of olives has proven to greatly enhance yields as well as improve milling efficiency when working with difficult paste. As talc is a powder, it is important that a mill be equipped with a special dispensing unit. The dispensing unit ensures an even distribution of the talc within the paste to prevent clotting and resultant inefficient use of talc. Furthermore, the dispensers have a variable input rate that the operator adjusts for variations in the nature of the paste being malaxed.
