Olio Guglielmi

In 1954 Saverio Guglielmi, created the Fratelli Guglielmi company, the enterprise was based on an exceptional product and business standards of the highest integrity. The system of direct marketing to families was a success. Business expanded rapidly and Olio Guglielmi achieved widespread distinction for its exceptional quality. With the passing of time, the sons Riccardo and Vincenzo Guglielmi, have produced premium quality olive oil.
The main economy of the FRATELLI GUGLIELMI company is represented by the olive-groves growing and by the production of extra virgin olive oil. The farm covers 80 hectares of intensive olive-groves, in the countryside of Andria, Barletta and Cerignola, with a total of 16,000 plants, most of the Coratina variety and less of Peranzana and Ogliarola varieties. In 1954 the molinary activity started with a traditional oil-press, replaced today by a continous cycle system. The FRATELLI GUGLIELMI company has the whole die of olives: from the cultivation of P.D.O. and organic olive-groves to the pressing of olives in the familiar oil-press, the oil storage in inox steel containers and the final bottling. Precisely, there are two working lines which press the olives daily, with cold extraction within 12 hours from the harvesting. The oil produced is all extra virgin, only of Puglia and 100% italian and of excellent quality. The average consumer thinks that oils are all the same and so he trusts to the famous marks on the market which propose a tasteless and scentless oil, with standard features as the market law imposes. In reality the oil is not an industrial product but an agricultural product, unique in his organoleptic and qualitative features, which change according to the cultivation and transformation method.
