Olive Tree Growers is an independent nursery dedicated to the production and marketing of premium quality olive trees. Established by professional gardeners Jean and Cary Cloud, OTG offers container-grown olive trees from one-gallon to large specimen sizes. The Clouds have been growing olive trees in Florida since 1989, and find that, contrary to popular assumption, this most special tree can be grown quite easily in the Southeast where temperatures do not go into the single-digit range, and in containers where winters are too harsh for outdoor plantings of olives. Their first olive tree was planted on St. George Island in the Florida Panhandle, just 200 yards from the Gulf of Mexico. Since 2005, they have planted about 50 olive trees of several cultivars on another beachfront site nearby. All of these trees are thriving and all the mature trees are producing fruit.
