Question:

I have a medical condition which requires me to avoid all sources of vitamin D. Your website states that olive oil contains all the fat soluble vitamins including vitamin D. Since very few plants contain vitamin D, I am wondering if you are you just surmising that olive oil contains vitamin D.

Answer:

Olive Oil does not have vitamin D. On our chemistry page, there is a chart with vitamin content of olive oil. Vitamin D is not listed. In the sentence you refer to, vitamin D was listed as an example of a fat soluble vitamin, it was not meant to imply that olive oil has vitamin D. We have changed things to make this more clear.
