Olive planting patterns are a hotly discussed topic.
Different parts of the world all have their preferences and as machine picking
becomes more common the trees must be spaced and pruned specifically for the
machine. Different climates and varieties require different spacing. Often
trees are planted closely to increase yield with every other tree being removed
